iPhone 17 is here. Is the upgrade worth it?

Tech Giant Apple released the much-anticipated iPhone 17 series early last month, and we have had a couple of weeks to
gather reviews from early users, combined with the specific feature upgrades that Apple teased during the launch.
Over the past few years, some users have been critical of the recent iterations of iPhone, arguing that there are innovative
changes each year and overall don’t much up with the prestigious status that has been associated with it. Now that the 17th
iteration is here, let’s see what’s new, and this will probably help you decide whether the upgrade is worth it.
Storage
For starters, they have expanded the storage. The base version will start at 256GB, as compared to 128GB from the previous
generation. This is a big boost if you really need additional storage.
Display
The display is bigger, how cool is that? iPhone 17’s display is large,6.3 inches in comparison to 6.1 inches from the previous
model, so if you like big things, then 17 is your type. The standard mode will now have the ‘Always-on display feature ‘, which
wasn’t the case with its predecessor.
Cameras
Upgrades on the cameras include the switch to a 48MP Ultra-wide camera, as well as a high-resolution 18MP front camera
with a centre stage. You now have more space for those group selfies.
Battery Life.
Apple isn’t known for large capacity batteries, but the longevity is always on point. iPhone 17 offers longer battery life (starting
from 3692mAh as compared to 3149mAh from the iPhone 16 model. With an estimated 30 hours of video playback as
compared to 22 hours from the previous generation. Maybe you won’t need to carry that bulky power bank anymore.
Processor
We have a new processor chip on the block, A19, which is an upgrade from A18.
So, is the upgrade worth it?
The answer is it depends. If you have older models, i.e., iPhone 15 downwards, then an upgrade is something you can consider.
Most of the upgrades are pro features from the iPhone 16 that have been included in the standard model, and therefore, I
wouldn’t recommend upgrading if you have an iPhone 16 Plus m
